Ghana Premier League returnees Bofoakwa Tano Football Club have been impressive since joining the Ghana top-flight league after sixteen years in the Division 1 Zone 1A.
Bofoakwa Tano FC together with Kpando Heart of Lions Football Club Limited are the only teams among the eighteen Premier League clubs who are yet to taste a defeat after six matches. Bofoakwa Tano has managed to secure ten points out of eighteen points available.
The Sunyani club is currently occupying the third position on the log and tied on points with Football Club Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman Football Club who are in the second and first positions respectively. Out of the six matches played, Bofoakwa Tano Football Club has won two games and has four drawn matches. Those two wins came against Real Tamale United and giants Hearts of Oak at the Sunyani Coronation Park. They won 2-1 and 1-0 against Real Tamale United and Hearts of Oak respectively.
Bofoakwa Tano was held by Bibiani Goldstars to a goalless draw at the Coronation Park in Sunyani. Also, they drew against Great Olympics, Kpando Heart of Lions, and Karela United away from home.
Bofoakwa Tano has scored three goals and conceded one. Out of the three goals scored, two were scored by their skipper Saaka Duada and Steven Owusu who scored from the spot against Real Tamale United.
Due to their impressive performances, skipper Saaka Duada was adjudged NASCO Player of the Month (September) and Coach Frimpong Manso also won Coach of the Month.
After a goalless draw at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale against Karela United, Bofoakwa Tano will host debutants Nations Football Club at the Coronation Park in Sunyani in a week seven fixture this weekend.
