Midfielder Eric Esso has been stripped of the Accra Hearts of Oak captain armband for the season and his place has been taken by workaholic midfielder Abdul Aziz Nurudeen.
Coach Martin Koopman named the longest-serving midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen as the club’s new captain for the season and will be deputized by goalkeeper Richmond Ayi. The decision was made after a meeting between the Technical team and the playing body of the team.
The former Obuasi Ashantigold midfielder will now be the fourth captain for the continental club masters after Abdul Aziz Nurudeen, Richmond Ayi, and newly signed David Oppong Afrane who signed for the Phobians a few days ago from Kumasi-based King Faisal Babies football club.
Abdul Aziz Nurudeen captained the team when they faced Nsoatreman FC in the Betpawa Premier League two fixture in a game they won they a lone goal courtesy Kashala Ramos at the Accra Sports Stadium. He was also named the Nasco Man Of The Match in that game.
