CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: How Medeama SC may line up against Al Ahly.

Ghanaian Champions, Medeama Sporting Club will make their debut CAF Champions League group stage match against record winners Al Ahly of Egypt at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo.

Medeama SC is paired in Group D along with Al Ahly, Young African Tanzanian, and CR Belouizdad of Algeria.

Evans Adotey is entering the game with the return of their “Star Boy” Jonathan Sowah, Nurudeen Abdulai, and left-back Abdul Fatawu Hamidu from the Ghana national team squad after the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.

Evans Adotey is likely to start with a 4-4-2 diamond formation against the defending Champions of the competition. Ever present Felix Kyei will be in post against the Red Devils.

Kamaradini Mamudu, Fatawu Abdul Hamidu, Nurudeen Abdulai, and Kofi Asmah will complete the back four for the yellow and mauves in Egypt tonight. Ivorian Jean Vital Orega and captain Abdulai Baba Musah will play the double pivot for Medeama and will be supported by “Skillful” Derrick Fordjour and “Experienced” Anoba Theophilus in the midfield.

Jonathan Sowah and Daniel Lomotey will start up front for Medeama Sporting Club.
