DONE DEAL: Asante Kotoko signs highly-rated Baba Yahaya.

Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of midfielder Baba Yahaya from King Faisal ahead of the 2023/24 season on a free transfer.

Baba Yahaya has been instrumental in the Ghana Premier League for King Faisal for the past three years since joining the Insha Allah boys. Yahaya’s impressive performances for King Faisal gathered interest from both Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and other foreign clubs.

Following the contract expiry with King Faisal, Asante Kotoko has secured the signature of the nimble-footed midfielder on a three-year deal.

At just age 21, Yahaya has been defender nightmare with his lovely skills and dribbling against opposition defenders.

He is already with the team in Beposo for the past two weeks after a successful medical examination at the Hope Exchange Hospital in Kumasi weeks ago.

With the deal yet to be made official, Yahaya’s deal is expected to be announced before the end of the summer transfer window which is on Friday 1st September.

Baba Yahaya previously played in Ivory Coast for ES Bafing.
