DONE DEAL: Hearts of Oak signs highly rated Kofi Abgesima.

Hearts Of Oak has completed the signing of defender Kofi Abgesima from Bechem United ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Kofi Abgesima has been instrumental in the Ghana Premier League for Bechem United for the past five years since joining the Hunters. Abgesima’s impressive performances for Bechem United gathered interest from both Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and other foreign clubs.

With a month left in his contract for Bechem United, Kofi Abgesima joined the Accra-based side with a transfer fee of around GHC 100,000.00. He agreed personal terms with Hearts of Oak months ago.

The former Bechem United eventually ended with the continental club masters after an agreement between Bechem United and Hearts of Oak. The 26-year-old was in Accra today for a medical examination and signed all documents to become a player for the Phobians.

After undergoing a medical test today, Kofi went to the Phobiman sports complex to watch a friendly game between Hearts of Oak and Lazio Spot that ended 4-1 for Hearts of Oak.

The addition of Kofi Abgesima will be the seventh signing for the side. It will fill the vacated position of Robert Addo Sowah who left Hearts of Oak after contract expiry.

He is expected to sign a three-year deal for Hearts of Oak and an official announcement is anticipated to come tomorrow after all documents are signed.
