English Premier League results over the weekend.


The Premier league started last Friday with an opened game between Manchester City and Burnley. On weekend some teams also had their first games. 
Some results of the premier league matches;


Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest; The Gunners played their first premier league fixture on Saturday against the Forest at home. Mikel Arteta led his boys to a 2:1 victory in their first and home game at the Emirates stadium. The 21 year Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah were the scorers for Arsenal whereas Awoniyi opened the scoresheet for the Forest. Eddie Nketiah had the first goal with and impressive assist from Martinelli. Saka put it at the back of the net with a pass from William Saliba. Close to stoppage time is where new signing Elanga assisted Taiwo Awoniyi to put the back in the Arsenal net.


Manchester city vs Burnley; Manchester City played against Burnley last Friday. They came victorious with 3:0 at Burnley home. Erling Braut Haland the first goal at just 4 minutes into the game. He scored a brace and the last goal came from their defensive midfielder Rodri. Kevin De Bryune was subbed off after an injury.

Brighton vs Luton Town; The seagulls had their first victory at home against Luton after scoring 4:1 on Saturday. March, Pedro, Simon Adingra and Evans Ferguson put the goals past Luton goalkeeper Kaminski. Carlton Morris scored for Luton.

Everton vs Fulham; Everton hosted Fulham at home and got beaten 1:0 last Saturday. Bobby Reid scored the winning goal for Fulham.

Bournemouth vs West Ham; It ended draw as Bournemouth played against West Ham at home last Saturday. Jarred Bowen had the first goal for West Ham and Solanke from Bournemouth equalised.

Sheffield United vs Crystal Palace; The Palace ended the game with 1:0 victory against Crystal Palace at away Last Saturday. Odsonne Edouard scored the only goal for Crystal Palace.


Newcastle United vs Aston Villa; It was a dramatic moment as Newcastle hosted and dismantled Aston Villa 5:1 last Saturday. New signing Sandro Tonali opened the scoresheet at the 6th minutes of the game. Moussa Diaby equalized for Aston Villa where Alexander Isak scored to put Newcastle ahead. Isak, Callum Wilson and Barnes scored the third, fourth and fifth goal respectively to see the side top of the table.

Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur; Brentford hosted Spurs and ended the day with 2:2 draw at home yesterday. All the four goals came in the first half. World Cup winner Cristian Romero scored the first goal for Tottenham. Brian Mbeumo and Wissa took Brentford ahead where as at the stoppage time of half time, Emerson from Spurs equalised. Ended 2:2 in the first half and no goal again till game over.


Chelsea vs Liverpool; It was hot at the Stamford Bridge as Chelsea hosted The Reds at home and ended in a 1:1 draw yesterday. Luiz Diaz and Axel Disasi scored for Liverpool and Chelsea respectively. Mo Salah and Ben Chilwell got their goals disallowed by VAR. Mo Salah got an assist from Gakpo and found the ball at the back of the net but was unfortunately ruled out as an offside. Ben Chilwell also with an assist from Enzo Fernandez got ruled out by VAR as offside. It ended 1:1 at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

Today the Red Devils plays against Wolves at the Old Trafford 7pm GMT.

Currently Newcastle United are on top(1)of the league table with Brighton second(2). Manchester City thirds(3) with Arsenal fourth(4). Fulham fifth(5), Crystal Palace sixth(6). Brentford seventh(7), Tottenham Hotspur eighth(8), Bournemouth ninth(9) and West Ham tenth(10). Chelsea are eleventh(11) and Liverpool twelfth(12) on the table. Luton Town Burnley and Aston Villa are at the bottom of the table.
