Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea have reached an agreement for striker Kalo Quattara, BecksUpdate can confirm that.
According to media reports, both clubs have successfully negotiated the transfer of this promising goal scorer, who was in impressive form last season with Berekum Chelsea.
Kalo Quattara together with his teammate Henry Ansu is scheduled to undergo a medical examination with Asante Kotoko in Kumasi next week.
The decision from Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum to sign both Quattara and Ansu came after a productive negotiation with Berekum Chelsea, with the aim of strengthening his team to compete well in both the Betpawa Premier League and MTN FA Cup. Both players will sign a three year deal each.
Kalo and Ansu will be the third signing of Coach Ogum after Michael Dwamena, former WAFA captain who joined the team to replace Richard Boadu who left for Al Ahly in Libya few days ago.
Asante Kotoko will start their preseason activities on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region.
Asante Kotoko’s first match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will take place against league returnees Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi which will be played in September.
