GPL TRANSFERS: Confirmed deals so far in the second transfer window of the Ghana Premier League.

Since the opening of the second transfer window of the Ghana Premier League, there have been so done deals since Monday, December 18, 2023, when the window was opened for signing and registering of players.

Two teams have already appointed new coaches. Kapor Nebojsa has been appointed as the new head coach of defending champions Medeama Sporting on a year and option of two years extension deal while Former Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Bashir Hayford joins bottom-placed Kpando Heart of Lions Football Club Limited till the end of the season.

Defending Champions Medeama Sporting Club have completed two signings in this second transfer window and offloaded two players so far. Medeama Sporting Club signed former Obuasi Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, Liberty Professional Football Club, and Bibiani Gold Stars Sporting Club versatile midfielder Michael Kwasi Enu on a free transfer after contract expiry with Bibiani Goldstars Sporting Club. Michael Enu signed a three year contract for the yellow and mauves.

Medeama Sporting Club has also signed former left-back Sulemana Fatawu on a free transfer. Sulemana Fatawu has been training with Medeama Sporting Club for the past two weeks as personal terms have already been agreed. However, the defending champions, Medeama Sporting Club have offloaded former Hearts of Oak Sporting Club and King Faisal Football Club defender Richard Akrofi who joined the yellow and mauves family from Nsoatreman Football Club ahead of the 2023/24 season, and also midfielder Agyei Boakye.

The 21-time Ghana champions, Hearts of Oak Sporting Club have also completed two so far in this second window. Hearts of Oak Sporting Club have signed Kassim Cisse who was the top scorer in the Ivorian Division One League last season for Lanfiara Sport for the next two seasons. Former West Africa Football Academy and Berekum Chelsea Football Club goalkeeper Kwadwo Osei Bonsu has also joined Hearts of Oak Sporting Club on a free transfer to improve and bring competition to the Hearts of Oak goalkeeping department. Salim Adams and Issah Kuka are also expected to be registered in this second transfer window after their loan spell with FC Cincinnati and FK Shpukin ended respectively.

Bibiani Gold Stars Football Club has also completed the signing of Vincent Addae Atingah and Abednego Tetteh. Vincent Addae Atingah emerged as the best player in the Ghana Premier League last season after guiding Medeama Sporting Club to win their first-ever Ghana Premier League title while Abednego Tetteh was the top scorer with eighteen goals last season.

Bechem United Football Club legend Augustine Okrah who is currently the joint-top scorer of the Ghana Premier League is currently in Tanzania to join giants Young Africans Sporting Club for a fee around one hundred and fifty dollars.

Former Bofoakwa Tano goal poacher Takyi Welbeck has also completed a move to Karela United which is currently based in Tamale after the change of ownership. Takyi Welbeck left Bofoakwa Tano Football Club for Aduana Football Club two seasons ago but struggled to find his feet due to injuries. Welbeck Takyi in completed with Karela United Football Club in Tamale to sign all documents for the much-anticipated welcome of Takyi Welbeck. His impressive performance with Bofoakwa Tano Football Club in the 2019/20 season earned him a place in the senior national team of Ghana.
