Former Asante Kotoko and Nations FC midfielder Richard Senanu have joined Legon Cities on a permanent deal from Nations FC.
The former Asante Kotoko midfielder joined the Royals from Nations FC and signed two years deal that runs until 2025 after having a successful medical examination with is held last week.
Senanu will now join the team for their preseason camping before the football season starts later next month.
The decision from Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin to sign the experienced midfielder came after a productive negotiation with the player whom he worked with during his days at Asante Kotoko, with the aim of strengthening his team to compete well in both the Betpawa Premier League and MTN FA Cup.
At age 29, Richard who featured for Nations FC in the just-ended division one league showcased some impressive performances when captain and led the Nations FC team to their first-ever premier league.
With an official announcement yet to come from the club, Richard Senanu will be the first signing for coach Paa Kwasi Fabin after joining Legon Cities from Aduana Stars.
Legon Cities’s first match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will take place against newly promoted Nations at the El Wak Sports Stadium in Tema which will be played in September. Richard Senanu will get the chance to play against his former team on the opening day of the season.
