Andrew Ntim Manu, formerly of Legon Cities has completed a move to Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2023/24 football season.
The West Africa Football Academy graduate joined Asante Kotoko on a free transfer and will be with the porcupine warriors until 2026 after having a successful medical examination with the two times CAF champions league champions.
Ntim Manu will now join the team in Bepose for the preseason camping before the football season starts later next month.
The decision from Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum to sign the young enterprising midfielder came after a productive negotiation with the player whom he worked with during his days at WAFA, with the aim of strengthening his team to compete well in both the Betpawa Premier League and MTN FA Cup.
At age 22, Andrew who contract with Legon Cities after the just-ended premier league showcased some potential when featured in 11 games for the Royals as a defensive midfielder.
Ntim Manu will reunite with his former teammates like John Tedeku and Richmond Lamptey.
With an official announcement yet to come from the club, Manu will be the second player to be announced by the porcupine warriors after former Susubiribi center-back Dawuni Yahaya. The versatile player has been on the radar for the porcupine warriors since 2022.
Asante Kotoko will start their preseason activities on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region.
Asante Kotoko’s first match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will take place against league returnees Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi which will be played in September.
