GPL TRANSFERS: Stephen Anokye Badu joins Defence Force of Ethiopia.

Aduana Stars defender, Stephen Anokye Badu is the latest player to join the Ethiopian Premier League after an agreement between Aduana Stars and Defence Force Sports Club and a permanent transfer for the 27-year-old center-back.

Anokye Badu is currently in Ethiopia to sign all documents after a verbal agreement with the  Addis Ababa-based outfit.

The transfer has made Badu the second player to join the Ethiopian league this transfer window after midfielder Kwame Adom Frimpong who joined Saint George SC on a free transfer.

These two players with join former Asante Kotoko midfielder Umar Bashiru who plays together with former WAFA and Hearts Of Oak defender who plays for Commercial Bank on a free transfer.

Anokye Badu had an excellent season for Aduana Stars despite losing the league title to Medeama Sporting Club. Anokye showcased his defensive prowess for the Dormaa-based club, winning three MOTM awards and so earned a place in the betpawa premier league team of the season.
