Medeama Sporting Club has completed the signing of former Bibiani Goldstars midfielder Michael Kwasi Enu on a three-year deal as a free agent. Michael Enu joined the Ghanaian Champions on a free transfer after contract expiry with Bibiani Goldstars.
Michael Enu has been in Tarkwa and training with the team for the past two weeks before the team’s departure to Tanzania for the Young African Sporting Club in the CAF Champions League Round Four of the group stages.
Medeama Sporting Club’s head coach Augustine Evans Adotey expressed his happiness after capturing the signature of the versatile midfielder in an interview with Medeama Sporting Club’s media. He also admitted that the former Obuasi Ashantigold Sporting Club has both technical and tactical qualities every coach will be looking for in a midfielder.
Augustine Evans Adotey also said that the versatility of Michael Enu will be crucial for the team this season in their remaining matches in the CAF Champions League, MTN FA Cup, and the Ghana Premier League.
Michael Enu has gained much experience in the Ghana Premier League for the past seven years. He previously played for Liberty Professional and Ashantigold FC.
“Michael is a great footballer who will bring a lot to the table. His versatility will be crucial as we fight on all fronts this season” Augustine Evans Adotey said.
“I am very happy that he has taking the decision to join us and wish him well. He has the tactical and technical qualities we are looking for in a midfielder” He added.
Moreover, Michael Enu showed his eagerness to set the ball rolling at Medeama Sporting Club. He expressed his feelings for being part of the team and what it means to him. Michael Enu however said it is a fantastic move for him and can’t wait to get started.
Michael Enu said to Medeamasc.org that, Medeama Sporting Club is the best footballing side in Ghana at the moment and is ready to add his qualities to the team as they progress.
“This is a fantastic move for me and I can’t wait to get started in Tarkwa,” Michael Enu told Medeamasc.org
“I worked under assistant coach Nana Amankwah during my stint at Bibiani Gold Stars so integrating into the team will be much easier.
“I am aware of the huge pedigree of this great club and the expectations ahead. Medeama is the best footballing side in Ghana at the moment and I’m eager to add to their rising stock.
“To be part of this great club is great for me and my career” he added.
Michael Enu is likely to make his debut against his former club Bibiani Goldstars in week sixteen of the Ghana Premier League at Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Tuesday, December 26, 2026, after being named in the 20-man squad of coach Augustine Evans Adotey for the game.
Interestingly, former Medeama Sporting Club defender Vincent Atingah Addae will also play for Bibiani Goldstars against Medeama Sporting Club in his debut game for the miners.
