Accra Hearts of Oak are set to appoint Tunisian manager Nabil Maaloul as their new head coach after the exit of David Ocloo, BecksUpdates can confirm that.
Per information hitting our frontdesk, the 2011 treble winner with ES De Tunis will be appointed following the recommendation from technical director Rene Hiddink.
Nabil, who played and managed ES De Tunis is expected to sign a long-term contract for the record MTN FA Cup winners in Ghana as the management and board of the club see him as the perfect head for their project.
At age 60, Maaloul has gained much experience in his coaching career on African soil. He won the Tunisia League, Tunisia Cup, and the CAF Champions League in 2011 for ES De Tunis. Moreover, Nabil also led Kuwait SC to win the Kuwait premier league and Kuwait Emir Cup in 2021/22. Nabil also won the Qatar Cup in 2014 with EL Jaish.
Nabil is expected to be in Ghana by the close of the week to sign all documents and then take over the team from Rene Hiddink to continue the preseason.
