Just In: Michael Dwamena arrives in Kumasi ahead of a potential move to Asante Kotoko.

West Africa Football Academy captain Michael Dwamena has landed in Kumasi to finalize his move to Asante Kotoko, BecksUpdates can confirm that.

Michael became the primary target for Coach Ogum after the departure of Richard Boadu who left for Al Ahly in Libya. The 23-year-old has been on the transfer scene since the opening of the transfer window but has yet to finalize any deal.

However, the Porcupine Warriors have verbally agreed on a  deal with the West Africa Football Academy and personal terms with the player too. Dwamena is expected to sign a three-year deal for Asante Kotoko. His medical examination is scheduled to take place later today at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Michael Dwamena will join the team in Beposo for the preseason ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Asante Kotoko’s first match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will take place against league returnees Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
