Karela United joins the race for Asante Kotoko ‘OUTCAST’ Maxwell Agyemang.

Betpawa Premier League side, Karela United has expressed keen interest in securing the signature of former Asante Kotoko defender Maxwell Agyemang on a free transfer.

Asante Kotoko released Agyemang, who hasn’t managed to make a significant impact since his move from Wamanafo Mighty Royals due to injuries.

Back in September 2021, Agyemang signed a three-year contract with the Ghanaian giants; however, he has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup.

However, Maxwell Agyemang will remain dear to the Asante Kotoko fans after heading home a nice goal in Obuasi at the Len Clay Sports Stadium. That goal won Asante Kotoko their 25th league title.

As it stands, Maxwell and the Anyinase-based club and in initial talks for a possible move despite interest from Bibiani Goldstars and Hearts Of Oak as reported earlier.

Moreover, the player and his management have a quiet number of offers from European countries like Belgium and Russia.
