MATCH PREVIEW: Bibiani Goldstars welcomes Asante Kotoko to Dun’s Park.

The Betpawa Premier League resumes this weekend for the matchday fixtures to take place at the various league centers.

Record winners, Asante Kotoko will travel to Bibiani where they will play quest to Bibiani Goldstars at Dun’s Park on Saturday, September 23.

This match will be the fifth time they are meeting since Goldstars returned to the Ghana top-flight league, out of the four games already played, Asante Kotoko is yet to lose. Kotoko has accumulated a total of eight points out of twelve(2W 2D).

Bibiani Goldstars looks to bounce back from a defeat on matchday 1 in Berekum where they lost by 2-0 courtesy Stephen Amankona’s brace. Moreover, Asante Kotoko was also unable to win against the newly promoted Kpando Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara sports stadium in a game that ended goalless.

Asante Kotoko picked a point the last time they met in Bibiani and also the last time both sides met, Abednego Tetteh scored late to cancel Sarfo Taylor’s goal in Kumasi.

Proud to the game, Asante Kotoko is handed a huge squad boost as last season’s top scorer Steven Mukwala and young sensation Rocky Dwamena return to the team ahead of the game.
