MATCH REPORT: Asante Kotoko cruise over Hearts of Oak in a five-goal thriller match – Betpawa Premier League.

Asante Kotoko came from a goal down to defeat Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara sports stadium in week 14 of the Betpawa Premier League to make it five wins on a bounce in all competitions and four wins in a row in the league for the Porcupine Warriors.

Hearts of Oak, the home team broke the deadlock through a neatly directed header after a delightful cross from Salifu Ibrahim to make it 1-0 for Hearts of Oak in the 39th minute.

In form, Isaac Oppong found the equalizer for Asante Kotoko in 45+2 minutes in the first half to make it 1-1. Asante Kotoko’s equalizer was the last action of the first half.

Back from recess, the Porcupine Warrior settled well and dominated in all departments of the game. Ugandan Forward, Steven Dese Mukwala completed the comeback for Asante Kotoko after pouncing on a rebound from Isaac Oppong strike in the 56th minute.

Steven Dese Mukwala completed his brace after a poor pass from Kelvin Osei Asibey to skip pass Richmond Ayi in the 74th minute to make it 1-3 for the Porcupine Warriors.

Asante Kotoko continued exciting their supporters with some delightful passes despite taking the lead and were all over the pitch.

After 6minutes of time added on in the second half, 53rd minute substitute Martin Karikari pulled one back for the Phobians in the 94th minute to make it 2-3.

Elsewhere in Nsoatre, Karela United shocked Nsoatreman United with a 1-0 win Maxwell Arthur while FC Samartex 1996 defeated Heart of Lions by two goals to nil to claim the top spot.
