MATCH REPORT: Dreams FC stun Asante Kotoko in Kumasi – Betpawa Premier League.

Asante Kotoko has extended their winless streak to four following a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Dreams Football Club in the Betpawa Premier League.

For the first time in history, Dreams Football Club has defeated Asante Kotoko for the first time courtesy of Abdul Aziz Issah’s lovely strike.

Dreams Football Club were on top of their game today and “uninspiring” Asante Kotoko couldn’t hold them at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Dreams Football Club started the game well and had an early chance of opening the scoring through Johnson Owusu in the fourth minute but Danlad Ibrahim made a massive save to keep the game barren.

Johnson Owusu again danced through the defense of Asante Kotoko in the 10th minute but his strike was calmly grabbed by Danlad Ibrahim.

Issah Aziz broke the deadlock in the 40th minute with a neatly curved free kick to the top right corner beyond to reach of Danlad to give the visitor a lead.

With a minute-to-end halftime, Ivorian Serge Eric Zeze had a glorious opportunity to get the porcupine warrior their leveler but his strike went narrowly out.

Back from recess, Danlad Ibrahim again denied Ishmael Dede from doubling Dreams FC’s lead in the 53rd  minute.

Dreams FC controlled the game well and denied Asante Kotoko an equalizer till the end of the referee’s whistle.

Following the disappointing defeat, Asante Kotoko drops to 14th position with ten points while Dreams FC moves to the 10th position with eleven points.
