MATCH REPORT: Ghana Black Queens trash she Amavubi of Rwanda in Accra – 2024 WAFCON QUALIFIERS.

The Black Queens of Ghana are through to the next round of the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations after dismantling Rwanda by 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

It got Alice Kusi just twenty-two minutes inside the first half to open the scoring for Ghana after a lovely from Stella Nyamekye outside the 18-yard box. Four minutes after the goal, Alice Kusi scored her second of the night after heading home a lovely volley pass from Adubea Priscilla from the right flank to make it 2-0 for the Queens.

Kusi was unstoppable and difficult for the Rwanda defense to handle. She completed her hattrick in the 37th minute with a pass from Evelyn Badu at the edge of the box to make it 3-0 for the Queens. With four minutes remaining for the first half to come to an end, Evelyn Badu scored a delightful goal to make it 4-0 just before halftime. The first department of the game ended 4-0 for Nora Hauptle’s ladies.

The black princess star, Stella Nyamekye who was just a joy to watch throughout the day put the icing on the cake for Ghana as she scored her debut goal for the Black Queens on her debut start to make it 5-0 for Ghana.

After both legs, Ghana won by 11-0 and it ensures Ghana’s qualification to the next round and will face the Namibia  women national team.
