Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Maxwell Konadu’s Nsoatreman FC by a narrow 1-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium courtesy Kashala Ramos’s goal.
Accra Hearts of Oak started the game with the intention of all out to attack and yield them an early result just four minutes inside the game through the Congolese goal poacher Kashala Ramos.
After the opening goal, Hearts of Oak continued throwing men forward in search of more goals but the defense of Nsoatreman FC was resolute not to concede. The away side was further reduced to 10 men after their captain Philip Ofori was sent off after elbowing Kashala Ramos in the 34th minute.
Back from recess Hearts of Oak continued putting pressure on the away side for their second goal but goalkeeper Daniel Afadzwu was on top of his game to deny Hearts of Oak another goal.
Both sides created numerous goal-scoring chances but failed to connect them. With no goal after that early goal, the home side bagged all three points and returned to winning ways after a 1-0 defeat in Tamale last weekend.
Elsewhere in Dormaa, defending champions, Medeama lost by 2-0 to Aduana FC courtesy Bright Adjei brace and Nations FC also recorded their maiden premier league win of FC Samartex 1996 with goal from Barimah Baah and Amidou Diarra respectively.
