Ajax defeats Ludogorets in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League playoff at the Huvephrama Arena in Razgrad, Bulgaria by 4-1 with a hattrick from Ghanaian playmaker Mohammed Kudus.
Ajax started the game on a brighter note after opening the scoring just sixteen minutes inside the game after a nice strike outside the eighteen-yard box from Kudus Mohammed, two minutes after the opener Kudus made it 2-0 for the Holland-based club after being set up but Kelvin Taylor.
Brian Brobbey made it three for the away side in the 40th minute to rap up the first department of the game. The half ended 3-0 for Ajax Amsterdam.
Five minutes after recess, Steven Bergwijn assisted Mohammed Kudus to complete his hattrick of the night which is also his first hattrick of the season for Ajax.
Ludogorets got their consolation goal from the spot through Olivier Verdon in the 70th minute. Kudus Mohammed was named MOTM.
Mohammed Kudus and Ajax will travel back to Holland and prepare for the return leg which will happen at the Jothan Cruyff Arena next week.
The game is likely to be the last game for the Ghanaian international who is hugely linked to English Premier League side, West Ham United. The 23 year old is likely to end up at West Ham despite interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona.
