TRANSFER NEWS: Former Ashanti Gold striker Yaw Annor joins the National Bank of Egypt Sporting Club, Maxwell Baakoh joins MC Ocran and others.

Former Obuasi Ashanti Gold Sporting Club striker Yaw Annor has completed a move from Ismaily Sporting Club to the National Bank of Egypt Sporting Club in the Egyptian Premier League.

The Ghanaian striker has been impressive since joining the Egyptian side after the 2021/22 season when he won the Ghana Premier League top scorer with twenty-three goals for Obuasi Ashanti Gold Sporting Club. His twenty-three made him the Ghana Premier League all-time top scorer after equaling and breaking Ishmael Addo’s twenty-one goals a season for Hearts of Oak Sporting Club against Bibiani Gold Stars Sporting Club at the Duns Park, Bibiani in the last game of the Ghana Premier League 2021/22 season.

Ahead of the 2022/23 season Yaw Annor completed one hundred and ninety-six move to Ismaily Sporting Club in Egypt. After two years, Yaw Annor has joined Bank El Ahly Sporting Club for the next three seasons.

Yaw Annor’s transfer fee will be paid in four installments as agreed by both clubs.

Bank El Ahly Sporting Club paid a fee of $750,000  for Yaw Annor as demanded by Ismaily Sporting Club.  At Ismaily Sporting Club, Yaw Annor scored eleven goals and provided four assists in forty games for the Egyptian Premier League club.

In the ongoing season, Yaw Annor has scored three goals and provided three assists in the Egyptian Premier League for Ismaily Sporting Club, and in the Egyptian League Cup, he has scored just a goal in three matches.

Former Asante Kotoko Sporting Club winger Maxwell Baakoh has also joined MC Ocran from USM Khenchela in the Algerian Ligue Professionelle 1. Maxwell Baakoh has been impressive for the past two seasons for USM Khenchela in Algeria. His exceptional performances earned him the best foreign player of the 2022/23 season the Algerian Ligue Professionelle 1.

Maxwell Baakoh’s move to MC Ocran makes him one of the highest-paid players in Algerian, the 28-year-old will earn 20,000 euros. The versatile attacker’s inclusion to the MC Ocran team will play a crucial role as they hope to escape relegation in the second round of the Ligue Professionelle 1.

MC Ocran has accumulated nine points in fourteen games so far in the Egyptian Premier League.

After leaving Asante Kotoko Sporting Club as a free agent, Maxwell Baakoh has played for Ceramica Cleopatra Football Club in Egpyt, Al Madina in Libya, and Shabab Club in Jordan. However, He also played for Wa All Stars Football Club and Karela United Football Club in the Ghana Premier League before joining Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.
