Xavi disclosed reasons leaving Barcelona at the end of the season

 

 

 

 

 

 

In November 2021, Former Spain and Barcelona greatest player was appointed as a new club manager for Barcelona. The 44-year-old manager was able to start his coaching work at Barca in a good way. Xavi Hernandez in his first full season as the club manager he won the 2022-23 supercopa de Espana and the 2022-23 La Liga title

This season has been difficult for Xavi in his managing career in Barcelona since started as the club manager. This season under manager Xavi Hernandez Barcelona has losses points against Marlloca, Getafe, Granada, Rayo Vallecano, Valencia and Villarreal this season. Barcelona is also  on the 3rd position in the league table which is surprisingly leading by Girona.

Again, The former Barcelona and Spain midfielder was having hope in his players and the team board when the players started loosing performance early this season, all of a sudden the 44-year-old  announced leaving the club after the end of this season when Barcelona losses 5-3 to Villarreal last week. Although, Xavi has signed a contract extension which suppose to be valid until 2025 just 4 months ago but still insisted to leave the club.

Furthermore, The former Spain and Barcelona midfielder of all time denied critics that he cannot work under pressure and explained how under- appreciated he fell, Xavi again stated messages and calls that he heard from some of the players and the team heads that he was not expecting.

”I think that the work has not been valued enough and this causes wear and tear on me. This is my feeling. It is not because I can’t stand the pressure. We arrive at one of the difficult moments in the history of the club,” he also talked about the financial challenges in the club.

” I made the decision a long time ago. Our work is not valued enough. And at the beginning of the season I already thought it would be the last. I don’t rule out returning. Barca will have me for whatever they need, but now I think they don’t need me. I think work is not valued.

Xavi Hernandez ones more, explained how worthless he feels in the Barcelona camp everyday. “That’s how I feel. It’s like that. They make you feels worthless everyday. Speaking with pep Guardiola, he already told me that. It also happened with Ernesto valvedre. I saw Luis Enrique suffer. We have to reflect. We have a problem with the demands of this charge. It seems like you’re risking your life every moments. That’s why I say it’s cruel l, it’s not enjoyable.

Guardiola, spent four seasons in as Barcelona boss from 2008 until 2012, enjoying the club’s most successful period in their 125-year history. But he famously walked away to take a year-Long break from football. Xavi had also suggested at the weekend that it is “impossible” for a Barca coach to achieve what sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United, being in charged for 26 years.

Xavi had not reveal any information concerning his future yet, he is planning to have a moment with his families beacuse he missed them as he said after this season.
