CONFIRMED: Accra Great Olympics has announced six signings ahead of the second round – Ghana Premier League.

Ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League 2023/24, Accra Great Olympics Football Club has announced the signing of six players to help the team compete for a place in the Ghana Premier League 2024/25 season.

Accra Great Olympics Football Club parted ways with Head Coach Daniel Annor Walker mutually and is yet to announce his replacement as the resumption of the second round of the Ghana Premier League is imminent.

Former Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Obuasi Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, and King Faisal Babes Football Club midfielder Godfred Asiamah joined Accra Great Olympics Football Club. This was how the team announced the signing of the 26-year-old left-footed midfielder:

Also, former striker Abdul Razak Yusif rejoined Accra Great Olympics Football Club despite rumors linking him to city rivals Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club. During his first tenure, Abdul Razak Yusif,22, scored eleven goals and provided two assists in sixty-one games for Accra Great Olympics.

Moreover, Saed Salifu their former shot-stopper also signed for the Wonder Club of Ghana as a free agent. Saed Salifu left Accra Great Olympics after the 2021/22 season and has made a return ahead of the second round of the 2023/24 season.

Ghana U17 star, Emmanuel Tsivanyo also signed till the end of the season for Accra Great Olympics. Emmanuel Tsivanyo garnered the attention of top European Clubs following his impressive in the UEFA U16 Tournament in Serbia. Against Serbia, the host, Emmanuel Tsivanyo scored a hattrick for the Black Starlet in their 4-0 win.

However, Osman Zackaria and Abednego Asafo were all announced by Accra Great Olympics Football Club ahead of the second round.

After the first round, Accra Great Olympics finished twelfth with twenty-one points. They recorded five wins, six draws, and six losses after the first round of the Ghana Premier League. Also, Accra Great Olympics Football Club scored ten goals and conceded twelve. Accra Great Olympics was also eliminated from round 32 of the MTN FA Cup but division one side Nania Football Club.

Accra Great Olympics Football Club kept the most clean sheets (10) after the first round. All the clean sheets were kept by Benjamin Asare.

The second round of the Ghana Premier League will resume between the weekend on Friday, February 23, 2024, and Monday, February 26, 2024. Accra Great Olympics first game of the second round will be at the Coronation Park in Sunyani against Bofoakwa Tano Football Club.
